Humans are taking more from the Mother Earth then giving her back. What if each of us started giving back as much as we take – in all our relationships, with the human and more-than-human worlds? Even a simple gesture like showing gratitude can make a difference. Reducing our use of sustainable resources is a solid first step giving back to the Earth.

Environment Day is celebrated every year by the SOM Group but every year a different activity is planned. To mark the importance of this day, the employees of SOM, planted more than 2000 plants in the factory area. Keeping in mind the theme of this year’s environment day “Beat the plastic pollution”; the employees of SOM distillery worked together with the Asha Mohan foundation and spread awareness about how people can reduce the use of plastic in their day to day lives. The students of the Asha Mohan Foundation were educated about the 3 R’s for protecting the environment – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The employees pledged to protect the environment by minimizing the use of plastic products, conserving water and energy.
